What are the benefits of mindfulness?

Reduce Stress

Chronic anxiety and stress are linked to a variety of mental and physical illnesses. Through simple, powerful mindfulness techniques you can learn to worry less and live more.

Stay Focused

Our ability to focus is key to all the things we want to accomplish in life. Mindfulness practice can help us reduce mental clutter and restore our natural clarity and focus of mind.

Be More Present

Do you find it hard to be fully present for the most important things in your life? Mindfulness helps you work with distraction and emotions and hold intimacy with your partner, children, and friends.

Your Brain Changes When You Meditate

We can look at mindfulness meditation as a form of mental fitness. The latest neuroscience suggests that a mindfulness meditation practice can change the physical structure of your brain, leading to greater calm, clarity, peace and focus.

  • Enhance Hippocampus (working memory)
  • Develop Your Insula (emotion regulation)
  • Shrink your Amygdala (stress reactivity)

In the same way that you would go to the gym to develop your physical strength, mindfulness meditation is a way that we can develop our mental strength. The cool thing about meditation, is once you learn it, you can do it anywhere.

Given the current world of distraction that we live in, it's increasingly important to train the parts of our brains that allow us to stay present, focused, calm and connected with others.

It's this reason that many people consider mindfulness meditation to be a super power! Not because it's anything mystical, but because it develops the human qualities that are becoming increasingly rare.

Is Mindfulness Meditation Right for Me?

Anyone can practice mindfulness. It doesn’t matter how old you are, what physical shape you’re in, whether you’re religious or not. These practices are all about helping you restore your natural clarity and ability to be present; they’re about giving you back what you already have, about helping you show up fully for your life.

Everyone will be sitting in chairs for the workshop, and there is the option to stand, if you'd prefer. You do not need to worry about sitting on the floor and getting into any uncomfortable posture. That is not a requirement for mindfulness practice!

What you get in this Workshop

The exploration and understanding of mindfulness is a life-long process. There are always new unfoldings, understandings, insights and growth points that come with a mindfulness practice. However, in this workshop, Cory takes the key concepts from mindfulness and relates it to the most pertinent aspects of daily life. We cover A LOT in this workshop.
